About us

We first got together on Easter Sunday 2010 at the Floral Hall, Southport and spoke about entering the Inventive Dance competitions together. We then met up a few weeks later for our first practice session, and entered our first competition at the B.A.T.D. event in Aberdeen.

Our first win together came at the N.C.D.T.A event held in South Shields during January 2011. We won the "Classical" sequence section with the Southdowne Saunter - this being the name of the hotel we stayed at during a visit to the I.S.D.C. festival in Bridlington.

Romance blossomed and we became engaged in early December 2010. We then got married in September 2012.

John has danced since the age of 10 and has competed since the age of 13. He is qualified at Fellowship level in Classical Sequence, plus Membership in both Ballroom and Latin, and he is now an Examiner with the B.A.T.D. He is the B.A.T.D. delegate on the Sequence Advisory Committee and is curently a member of the B.A.T.D. Executive Council.

Ann has danced since 1995 and is qualified at both Associate and Membership levels in Classical Sequence and Ballroom branches as well as qualified at Associate level in Latin American.
